HOW I DISCOVERED PACT CLOTHING

This is a sponsored post. As a brand ambassador, I received free apparel and compensation. However, I only promote products I love. All opinions are my own.

I love going to Whole Foods. It is SO much more than a grocery store. Shopping there is more like an experience than a chore, especially when I have time to peruse each aisle. They carry tons of unique items and I of course, love the many healthy options.

Have you ever checked out the “Whole Body” aisle in Whole Foods? Whole Body carries vitamins, make up, personal care items, candles, and even clothing. It’s where I go to get my toothpaste and all-natural make up products that I am fully converting to.

One day about a month or so ago I was shopping with my mom. She excitedly alerted my attention to a huge sale happening on the clothes. Naturally, I had to look. You don’t ignore a sale at Whole Foods, especially for something you’ve never tried! As much as I try to buy all of my food organic (and local when I can), I have not held up that responsibility in my clothing choices. It clearly doesn’t affect my health as much, but that doesn’t mean the choice will not have astronomical effects.

Desperately in need of new leggings and seeing the PACT line of clothing, which had basic black leggings was a win for me. I thought I was just finally getting around to buying a new pair. I did not realize how much I would fall in love with them.

HOW AMAZING PACT FITS AND FEELS

The next day while getting dressed I tried these on (because leggings are my main form of “pants.” Who’s with me?). Now, before buying PACT leggings, I was only wearing ones from PINK and AERIE. They were okay. There is nothing terrible about them. But, PINK leggings are awfully thin- so not suitable for the winter, and both brands get stretched out very, very easily.

My favorite aspect of PACT leggings: THEY DO NOT STRETCH OUT. EVER. I wear these multiple times before washing (clearly I am not working out in them), and every time they fit the same as the first day! This is especially beneficial for me because I am thin. My other leggings do this droopy thing and hang loose in weird places. I feel 100% confident in my PACT leggings because they are form-fitting. I don’t feel like I am wearing leggings that are baggy.

They have a stretchy spandex feel to them- so totally ideal for those exercisers out there! Go you! Did I mention they are inexpensive? I was shocked how reasonable the prices were despite being organic and environmentally responsible. There is an abundance of gigantic corporations pumping out poor-quality clothing that do not meet any of the standards PACT is committed to. FYI, they also have men’s and baby lines!

This hoodie comes in six different colors in sizes XS-XL. Plus, I love the fleece lining that keeps me warm + toasty.

PACT’S MISSION

The website’s main page is a big sneak peek to what their core values are. Their label, which is on their packaging says, “Super Soft Organic Cotton.”

NO TOXIC DYES
NO TOXIC PESTICIDES
NO SWEATSHOPS
NO CHILD LABOR

The above alone makes me feel a bit better about my role in improving unfair working standards. (They are Fair Trade Certified!) No sweatshops, cheap labor, child labor, unsafe working conditions, overworked employees, and practices in place to support, not harm animals or the environment. Sounds good to me!

If you are thinking “Organic cotton, really?! Why does someone need to wear organic cotton?!” Well, cotton is one of the most genetically modified crops in the U.S. As a person with a strong stance against GMOs in my body, I certainly do not want them on my skin any more so. PACT makes a conscious effort to produce clothing safe for our bodies and environment and that promotes fair treatment of people.
