A Journal for Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and more

Journaling has become a big part of maintaining my mental and emotional health as well as setting and keeping track of goals.

I set out to create a Crohn’s disease journal, but this journal goes far beyond that.

When it comes to journaling I have previously kept several types of journals. Food journals to track potential IBD food triggers in my diet, blank journals to make to do lists, gratitude lists, general visualization, goal-tracking, and guided journals with prompts.

All types of these journals have helped me along the way and at different points in my life, and The 90-Day Self-Healing Journal is my interpretation of how all those types of journaling comes together.

Why it works

The 90-Day Self-Healing Journal is only 90 days long on purpose. Because there is a goal setting component (you set a goal for each of the Four Pillars of Health, the four categories I believe are essential for healing), 90 days is a manageable chunk of time to set, work on, and reflect upon goals.

Healing is multi-faceted. That’s what The 90-Day Self-Healing Journal encompasses ways to track food and symptoms, as well as check in on your emotional and mental health with daily gratitude, positive affirmations, and reflecting on how you are working towards your goals every single day.

How to use

In the first few pages you’ll read some notes from me and about what the Four Pillars of Health are. Then, you’ll set one goal for each pillar to work on for the next 90 days.

I prefer to write in the morning before starting my day, but I often open it up again and read my notes throughout the day or add to it. Every day is laid out in the same format, but you will see that what you write may vary greatly.

For instance, in one of my entries I was having a long, difficult day. I wrote about that in the “notes” section. But the following day was so much lighter. I could practically feel the positive energy come off of that journal entry! It made be feel better to recognize the improvement from the day before.

If I am feeling down, or sick, or uninspired, I can flip through my past entries and remind myself about all the good things that are happening to me each day. It is VERY easy to forget about the small miracles in life.

When you are closed to filling out the entire journal, just reorder another for the next 90 days, so you don’t skip a beat!

I am so, so appreciative of your support! If you have purchased the journal, I would love your feedback in the comments or by emailing me at alexa @ girlinhealing (.com), OR direct messaging me on Instagram (@girlinhealing).

TAG me on Instagram with your journal so I can share! FYI, I will not see it if you have a private account. Thanks again for reading this and for your support! XO Alexa
