Who Am I?
Hello, I’m Alexa. I am 22 years old and from a suburb north of Boston, MA.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education in May 2016, after aspiring to be a teacher my whole life. (My sister can attest to being forced to play school and do work. I’m talking math worksheets, spelling tests, the whole shebang!)
However, I have developed a strong passion for nutrition, disease prevention, and the food we eat over the last few years.
This blog is not meant to say that there is one way to treat Crohn’s Disease, since every person is so different. I want to share what works for me in case it can help even just one person.
I know firsthand how debilitating this disease can be. I know what goes through a person’s mind when it feels like nothing you do is helping. I have tried many types of remedies out there and I am always willing to try new things. You just never know what will work for your body!
I believe strongly in the power of diet and environment on autoimmune and other diseases. With that being said, I think there is a time and place for conventional medicine when it is needed.
I am just a girl striving to help my body work together again.
I am a girl in healing.
