Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is quite the hot health food on the market. I was lucky enough to be given a bottle from Swanson to test out and review their new version! Their product is a certified organic 16 fl oz. bottle, selling for $2.99. Here’s how I used it. (Note: this is a sponsored review. All statements are my honest opinion).

BAKED MARINATED CHICKEN

I’ve been meal-prepping a lot of grilled chicken lately and preparing it super simply. I decided to use this as one way to try out my ACV.

I opened a pack of organic chicken (4 pieces came in this pack of boneless, skinless thighs) and transferred them directly into a ziplock bag. I added olive oil and Swanson’s Apple Cider Vinegar, about 1/4 cup of each. Then I eyeballed the spices. Salt, onion powder, and red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

I let this marinate in the fridge for about 2.5 hours. I lined a baking sheet and baked at 350°F for about 45 minutes. The ACV gave off a really mouth-watering aroma while the chicken baked.

Baked Chicken Thighs

The result was simple chicken deliciousness! I wondered if there would be a “taste” from the vinegar, but there was none. Any scent or taste from the apple cider vinegar was lost in the high heat.

ACV SALAD DRESSING

My family usually eats a salad with dinner at least four nights out of the week. Nothing too fancy, we use romaine and sometimes iceberg too. We like to add grape tomatoes, celery, red onion, cucumber, avocado, chickpeas, citrus, and other veggies we may have.

Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

I made one of these salads for dinner and tried using apple cider vinegar for the acid. Again, there was no overwhelming “apple” flavor. This makes a great vinegar for salad dressing! Plus, it has more benefits than other vinegars you may have around.

My measurements filled a dressing bottle to be used for salads throughout the week.

  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 1 cup of Swanson’s Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 garlic powder
  • 1/4 onion powder

I cannot eat pepper but feel free to add that if you prefer.
